Welcome readers! Today is a bit of a check-in on what has been going on in my life.
This year has been marked by significant life changes and new beginnings. After graduating from university, I recently relocated to a new city. Moving to a new city can feel refreshing. Even with the late nights of unpacking chaos, I feel like it is all part of the adventure.
Between moving, graduating, and stepping into a new chapter, life can get pretty crazy, but it is all about maintaining balance. While in this transition, I have been learning how to stay grounded and balance self-care. Just a couple of months ago, many of my routines were centered around late-night study sessions, and as I transition into post-grad, it has been a goal to establish fresh habits for the upcoming year.
Structure brings a sense of calm to the chaos. For me, that means thoughtfully blocking out my calendar and making sure there’s always a little time carved out just for me. Whether it’s a quiet morning or an afternoon without my phone, those small pockets of stillness help me stay grounded and present. Staying grounded and present isn’t always easy, especially when life gets busy.
It’s so easy to get swept up in the rush, to forget to respond to that text, or to feel like you’re constantly playing catch-up. But I’m learning to offer myself a little more grace. We’re all doing the best we can, and sometimes, the most important thing we can do is simply slow down and enjoy the ride.
This chapter is full of transition and growth, yes, but also full of opportunity. And I don’t want to rush through it. I want to feel it. To soak in the happiness of where I am now, while holding hope for what’s still ahead. Life has so much to offer when we allow ourselves the space to notice it.
This has been one of my biggest intentions for this year—being present, open, and grounded in the moment. And along with that, there are just a few other thoughts and reflections that have been on my mind lately, which I felt called to share today.
As always, thank you for reading and for walking alongside me in this season.
