Welcome back readers, how are we feeling, because today’s topic is about about us!
I think today’s topic is something we can all get behind, while we all can love a warm and cozy bubble bath a large part of self-care is setting healthy intentional habits, and those habits can look different for all of us. Here are five suggestions I will be personally utilizing this year for setting healthy habits!
Self-Care: 5 Steps to Healthy Habits

1
Rest and Recovery
Getting our sleep at night is crucial for setting ourselves up for success. It’s not just about getting our hours in at night, a good sleep schedule can improve happiness, and help us be more productive during the day.
2
Tracking our Habits
Maintaining a journal or using a habit-tracking app is a great opportunity to hold yourself accountable for your goals. If you are a visual-orientated person a chart or whiteboard in your home can help you check in with yourself on a daily or weekly basis depending on your personal goals.
3
Turning Off The Phone
Turning off our phones, I know I struggle with this step. It can be easy to get caught up in an endless loop of scrolling and tapping likes on social media. We need to disconnect and take a brain break from screens – it’s okay to miss an email or text and reconnect with our co-workers, friends, and family after we unplug. It can help us de-stress and reconnect with our bodies, especially after a long day!
4
Taking Breaks & Setting Boundaries
Let your mind relax and take a break – you deserve it. Breaks help re-center and reset us throughout the day. It can be a few controlled deep breaths to bring us back to the center or a walk in our local park.
5
Make Time For The Things You Love
It is so important for us to spend time doing the things we love. Hobbies and activities are healthy for our lives. They help us feel fulfilled and bring happiness into our lives.
I hope you enjoyed reading, I challenge you to go out and find one thing that brings you happiness this year! Please remember these are all just my thoughts and opinions! I appreciate you taking the time to read my post, please let me know your thoughts or potential topics in the comments!
